Michael Moore(マイケル・ムーア)のお灸

ドキュメンタリー映画「華氏911」(Fahrenheit 9/11」でBush Administrationを痛烈に批判したMichael Moore(マイケル・ムーア)監督が“Capitalism: A Love Story”(邦題「キャピタリズム〜マネーは踊る〜」)の日本での公開に合わせて来日した。最後のドキュメンタリー映画として取り組んだというこの映画。テーマは、あくなき利潤追求を続ける巨大企業によって、人々が家や職を奪われる米国式資本主義。公的資金で救済される銀行に税金を返せ！　と突撃し、大企業と富裕層を優遇する政府を痛烈に批判する。

“...I think the film have a lot of interest here because they've also seen the dark side of capitalism”(日本でこの映画は大いに関心を呼ぶと思う。国民も資本主義の闇の部分を知っているからだ)
企業が首切りを進め、医療や教育への予算削減に向かうに日本の現状にチクリ---「教育を大切にし、解雇しない国に戻って欲しい」
Ex-President Bushのアフガン・イラク戦争を支え正当化した各国首脳を批判、「アメリカに来てブレスリーのマネをしたどこかの首相も含めてね」とK元首相を皮肉る。
「他国を一切侵略しない、他国を侵略する国を一切サポートしない国に戻って欲しい」と呼びかけた。

President Obamaを一貫して支持してきたMichael Mooreだが、1日に発表したObama氏のアフガンへの3万人の増派戦略に対し愕然とし手厳しく批判。
「ブッシュが残した混乱を更に悪くしてほしくない。アフガンへ更に兵士を送るという、彼の決断は残念。大きな間違いだ」
Obama's Address at West Pointの前日、President Obamaへ公開質問、大統領に警告している---
“Dear President Obama
Do you really want to be the 'war president'? If you go to West Point tomorrow night (Tuesday,8pm) and announce that you are increasing, rather than withdrawing, the troops in Afghanistan, you are the new war president. Pure and simple. And with that you will do the worst possible thing you could do--destroy the hopes and dreams so many millions have placed in you. With just one speech tomorrow night you will turn a multiple of young people who were the backbone of your campaign into disillusioned cynics. You will teach them what they've always heard is true---that all politicians are alike.. ”
そして、Obama氏のアハガンへの3万人の増派発表の翌日の2日、Michael Mooreは“Did candidate Obama promise 2 have more troops in Afghanistan than the Soviets did during their occupation? Well, he's topped them now. Sad ”(大統領選のとき、Obamaは旧ソビエトがアフガン侵攻時に派遣した兵士の2倍にも及ぶ増派を約束したか？　彼の増派は記録的だ。悲しいことだ)
